Update: 5/13 Update

USA Volleyball is announcing the elimination of sanctions for all USA Volleyball activities (including but not limited to events, practices, team activities, individual training sessions or anything covered by USA Volleyball insurance) through May 22, 2020. USA Volleyball is monitoring the situation daily and will continue to provide updates on a regular basis.

The coronavirus has impacted many national qualifiers as well as mizuno cross court in Houston this weekend. 14 and 15 National were scheduled to play in this event.

As of now the following usav events have been postponed indefinitely for 2020.

- pacific northeast Washington Qualifier
- cross roads Denver qualifier
- Big south Atlanta qualifier
- the 1st weekend of show me qualifier. This is the one 14 National was entered in.
Hotels have already been cancelled for you by the tournament housing. You should receive a confirmation email.
- as of now red rock rave in Las Vegas is still on for our weekend. There are talks of no spectators allowed if the event continues. Which means only coaches, players, refs will be allowed in the event. This is not ideal, and we would guess they would cancel or before doing that.

All tournaments currently in the lone star region or local tournaments from here to Corpus Christi, are subject to their facility host remaining open or closing. And if their city is issued a state of emergency or not. This means many more of our events may be cancelled and not rescheduled or replaced.

Tournament registration and entries close anywhere from 1-3 months before the event. This is due to the region having to seed teams and check for compliance and be cleared then send to the tournament host for them to create schedules. Because of this we can not enter a tournament last minute even locally.

Usav has recommended we do not host practices, trainings, team gatherings through May 22nd. All practices are being cancelled until then. Due to this most other clubs are not looking to schedule unofficial scrimmages Or share practices.

We are hoping this will pass in the next few weeks and not have an impact on any other tournaments local or travel. We will keep everyone posted and host a virtual q&a for our club members to discuss any updates. As of now continue to check chat in team app. If you have any questions please let me know.
